Got A Contract Through Social Media

My client owns one of the retail empire in Indonesia.  Now, he has a dream to build a hotel empire in Indonesia, by building hotels that 100% manage and own by the company. Therefore, they are hiring hospitality professionals who have solid hotel operational experiences.  It is interesting on how the company tracked me down.

When I came to their head office for the first time, I was introduced to a very charming and enthusiastic lady, who is in charge in sales. She said "Ibu Ade, I am one of your fans. I am your friend in linkedin and I read your blog. I even took some information from your blog for my report because it's updated. When I heard Management is looking for a candidate in HR, I recommended your name to the management."

It was a surpise and I felt very very very happy that my blog are read and is able to help others. I felt bad because I could not recognize one of my 7000+ Linkedin connection in person. I am impress that my linkedin and blog can lead me to my professional goal today - developing local champions. I believe, whatever we put in the net, cannot be erased, so I choose to treat my social media professionally. As the result, I have a client that suits with my dream.(ade noerwenda)
